EOTD: Friday "Club"bing

When I was in high school, the best night to go out to bars and clubs was always Friday. (I grew up in Europe, this was all legal, I promise.) Today I thought I'd pay a little homage to clubbing by wearing the Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette MAC Club dupe - and since that's a little long-winded, I will now call it "Club". MAC Club and it's sisters are very interesting shadows - usually a very warm red brown base with a very healthy dose of teal green shimmer/pearl.  When these shadows blend out, they can easily look *very* red and make me look quite tired. To counteract that, I like to first place a cooler colour - in this case Urban Decay Tease - in the crease before I apply my "Club" to the lid. This way I don't have to blend too much "Club" into the crease and the redness doesn't get out of hand. (I know it still looks quite warm, but trust me, it's way calmer!) However, what makes this shadow REALLY sing for me is putting it on top of the Color Tattoo in Test My Teal. With this and other "Club" shadows, it's often hard to get the teal green to show through, but on top of the Color Tattoo it shows up amazingly! Seriously, I think this is worth getting just to wear under whichever version of "Club" you own...

I used:

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Test My Teal - all over lid, lower lash line as a base
Urban Decay Tease - in the crease
Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette "Club" - all over lid, lower lash line
Maybelline Gel Liner in Forest - smudged into upper and lower lash lines
Coastal Scents Buttermilk Nude - under brow and inner corner highlight
Revlon PhotoReady 3D Waterproof mascara
Clinique Bottom Lash mascara

Thanks for looking!
