EOTD: Copperplate & Wing

MAC Copperplate is a relatively new eyeshadow acquisition for me. I've mostly used it in the crease, but today I decided to pack it all over the lid and pair it with a small(ish) black winged liquid liner. I really like the effect. It's simple, but I feel as thought it makes my eyes stand out - both shape and colour-wise!

I used:
MAC Copperplate - all over the lid and blended up, lower lash line
Urban Decay Venus - inner corner
Coastal Scents in Buttermilk Nude - under brow
Physician's Formula Eye Booster in Ultra Black - upper lash line
Too Faced 3-Way Lash Lining Tool - fill in gaps on uppers, dotted along lowers
Cover Girl Clump Crusher mascara
Clinique Bottom Lash mascara

Next time I think I'll try it with Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe as a base. It was suggested to me and I think it's a great idea!

EOTD: Dieselboy

Just a really quick photo of the eye makeup I wore last night to go see Dieselboy! (It was dark out so taking a picture was rough...) I had a seriously amazing time and the makeup totally added to it.

I used:
Maybelline Gel Liner in Blackest Black - all over the lid and lower lash line as a base
Wet n Wild Panther eyeshadow - to smudge/blend out the gel liner
Chanel Mirifique - all over the lid
NARS Laguna bronzer - along upper edge of shadow
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk - blended into inner corner
Sleek Ultra Matte V1 Brights (hot pink) - inner corner
Coastal Scents Buttermilk Nude - under brow
Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Asphyxia - waterline
Cover Girl Clump Crusher mascara
Clinique Bottom Lash mascara
Ardell Double Up 202 lashes

NOVEMBER: Favourites

Similar themes from last month apply for this month too! I've been loving highlighters and red lipsticks the most, with the occasional dark eye thrown in. I also found a new foundation love, which doesn't happen every day...

Jemma Kidd All Over Radiance Creme in Rose Gold & #9 Brush
Last month I was loving this product as well, but in the Iced Gold colour. I was so into it that I decided I had to scoop up the Rose Gold version before they were gone for good! (Jemma Kidd is being discontinued, sadly...) I find that this colour is just as beautiful on the skin, and maybe a bit more subtle. I picked this up from QVC and the #9 brush came in the set. I think that the brush is actually meant to be a foundation brush, but I LOVE it for stippling on this product! I was looking for something better to apply this, and I definitely found it.

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation in BD10
New foundation alert! I test new foundations all the time because frankly, I just can't help myself. For the last couple years I haven't found anything that rivals my Lancome Teint Miracle in any way...until now. This stuff is absolutely lovely. It is not heavy coverage by any means - probably even a little less than Teint Miracle - but it makes your skin look amazing, sits so beautifully on the skin that I can't even detect it, and blends so incredibly easily. I've been travelling/out of the house a lot lately and having this in my arsenal has made mornings so much easier. I still love Teint Miracle, but this is my current go-to.

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Vision
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm a sucker for gold. This is pretty much just gold glitter in a pot. I like to pat it on top of eye looks to add some golden sparkle and its just perfect. Swoon.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Cocoa
Easiest smoky eye ever. Seriously. Whack it on any old way, blend out the edges and BAM you're done. Plus once this stuff dries, it is not going ANYWHERE. I am getting more colours.

CoverGirl Clump Crusher mascara
This totally surprised me. I'm not even sure why I bought it. But dang, this mascara separates beautiful, really doesn't clump, and looks just lovely on! Some days I need a little more drama, but most of the time, this is just perfect.

Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Coromandel
I love my RA in Pirate so much, I went back for another red. This time I chose something more orange-y instead of blue based and it was love at first swatch! This wears much less orange on the lips than it does on my hand and is just gorgeous. It seems to bring out the warmth in my hair and skin and just makes me happy!

Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet
Another rushed-morning-in-a-strange-place favourite. I can even apply this in the car and it looks good. No lip liner required, and you get beautiful dramatic winter-appropriate lips!

NOVEMBER: Used Up

***Since the beginning of the year I've been keeping track of the makeup products that I use up or hit pan on every month. It helps me to be conscious of what I actually use and hopefully prevents me from buying things I won't use! I like sharing the results with accompanying mini reviews at the end of every month - it keeps me honest!***

Used up:

Ardell Individual Duralash Natural Medium Black Flares
These little groupings of individual false lashes are probably my favourite. I find them fast and easy to apply, and by using different lengths and positions you can achieve almost any look you want! The mediums are probably my favourite. The shorts are nice to add volume, but they are a bit shorter than my natural lashes. The mediums are a little longer so they add a little extra flutter!

Ardell 120 Demi lashes
Unfortunately I ruined these lashes on Halloween (sigh). They are the ones I used in this look. These lashes are the big brother to the Ardell Demi Wispies. They are much bigger, longer and fuller, but still retain an airiness to them. Love! And would definitely repurchase.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder mini
My HG loose powder. Laura Mercier has changed the formula and I am so angry. I still have one full jar of the original, and I will shed many a tear when it is done.

YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation sample
I got a sample of this foundation at the beginning of the month and fell in love! It is a lot like my favourite Lancome Teint Miracle, but a little less coverage and a LOT easier to apply. (My colour is BD10.) I can just sort of aim this at my face and it looks perfect. Great for travel and quick mornings! I keep refilling this little sample jar for days I'm not at home, too.

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer sample
I really like this. Do I need it? Probably not.

Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment mini
SO conflicted about this. So expensive. But it smells amazing, and adds nice colour. Too bad its a soft gooey mess. I thoroughly enjoyed this mini, but I doubt I'll be purchasing one.

DKNY Be Delicious London sample
I already own the full size of this fragrance, but it was nice to have a little mini to keep in my purse! More floral than I usually like, but the apple seems to balance it out a little.

EOTD: Touch of Teal

I felt the need to be matchy-matchy today and wanted to add some teal into my eye look at match the sweater I'm wearing. Cheeseball, I know. That being said, Urban Decay's Loaded is a fantastic eyeshadow - the colour and pigment are incredible!

I used:
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze - all over lid
Urban Decay Twice Baked - buffed into outer corner
NYX Slide-On pencil in Tropical Green - lower lash line
Urban Decay Loaded - lower lash line
MAC Wedge - to blend out top edge
Inglot 395P - inner corner highlight
Coastal Scents Buttermilk Nude - under brow highlight
Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara
Clinique Bottom Lash mascara

EOTD: For a Job Fair

Today I bring you a simple and badly photographed look! I went to a job fair today and wanted to look pulled together and while not too crazily done, I really did want to define my eyes. I went with easy taupe eyeshadow and smudged black liner. It was quick and easy, and I think had the desired effect. I paired it with carefully applied foundation/blush/highlighter to give myself a flawless/awake look without too much coverage and Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy on the lips! Now if only I had spent a few more seconds taking pictures before dashing out the door...

I used:
Inglot 402P - all over the lid, lower lash line
Inglot 326M - outer 1/3 of lid, outer lower lash line
Inglot 352M - under brow, inner corner highlight
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Perversion - smudged into upper and lower lash line
L'Oreal Lineur Intense - closest to roots along upper lash line
Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara
Clinique Bottom Lash mascara
