NOVEMBER: Favourites

Similar themes from last month apply for this month too! I've been loving highlighters and red lipsticks the most, with the occasional dark eye thrown in. I also found a new foundation love, which doesn't happen every day...

Jemma Kidd All Over Radiance Creme in Rose Gold & #9 Brush
Last month I was loving this product as well, but in the Iced Gold colour. I was so into it that I decided I had to scoop up the Rose Gold version before they were gone for good! (Jemma Kidd is being discontinued, sadly...) I find that this colour is just as beautiful on the skin, and maybe a bit more subtle. I picked this up from QVC and the #9 brush came in the set. I think that the brush is actually meant to be a foundation brush, but I LOVE it for stippling on this product! I was looking for something better to apply this, and I definitely found it.

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation in BD10
New foundation alert! I test new foundations all the time because frankly, I just can't help myself. For the last couple years I haven't found anything that rivals my Lancome Teint Miracle in any way...until now. This stuff is absolutely lovely. It is not heavy coverage by any means - probably even a little less than Teint Miracle - but it makes your skin look amazing, sits so beautifully on the skin that I can't even detect it, and blends so incredibly easily. I've been travelling/out of the house a lot lately and having this in my arsenal has made mornings so much easier. I still love Teint Miracle, but this is my current go-to.

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Vision
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm a sucker for gold. This is pretty much just gold glitter in a pot. I like to pat it on top of eye looks to add some golden sparkle and its just perfect. Swoon.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Cocoa
Easiest smoky eye ever. Seriously. Whack it on any old way, blend out the edges and BAM you're done. Plus once this stuff dries, it is not going ANYWHERE. I am getting more colours.

CoverGirl Clump Crusher mascara
This totally surprised me. I'm not even sure why I bought it. But dang, this mascara separates beautiful, really doesn't clump, and looks just lovely on! Some days I need a little more drama, but most of the time, this is just perfect.

Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Coromandel
I love my RA in Pirate so much, I went back for another red. This time I chose something more orange-y instead of blue based and it was love at first swatch! This wears much less orange on the lips than it does on my hand and is just gorgeous. It seems to bring out the warmth in my hair and skin and just makes me happy!

Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet
Another rushed-morning-in-a-strange-place favourite. I can even apply this in the car and it looks good. No lip liner required, and you get beautiful dramatic winter-appropriate lips!

Thanks for looking!

  1. I've been wanting to try a caviar stick - I can't decide what color to try first!

  2. I recommend Cocoa as your first! I have way too many shades of these now, they really are lovely...
